Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri has been a popular Indian actress, who gained recognition for her performance in Hum Aapke Hain Koun and Beta Saajan. Her career began in the 1980s and came into prominence thanks to her character in the Tezaab film, in which she appeared alongside veteran actor Anil Kapoor. The next film she appeared in was Dil where she was on screen with Aamir. When she was a kid her Mumbai-born dancer started studying at a very early age. When she was a teen she started acting, and suffered for several years because most of her first films were failures. She eventually found success and became one of the top actresses in the Indian film business. Following her wedding, she took a brief absence from acting until she returned. In recent times, she was in a prominent role in Gulaab Gang. The film focused on the struggles of women across India. Dixit was nominated for 15 Filmfare Awards, out of which she was awarded eight. Dixit was also awarded her Padma Shri the fourth highest civilian award in India. Her social work is also popular.
